ICT Manager (Construction)

Responsibilities:

  • Plan, direct, coordinate, design and implement ICT-related initiatives, as well as provide administrative direction and support for day-to-day ICT operations in the organisation.
  • Manage a small team of ICT-Executives, and to keep the unit up-to-date with trends and technologies development in the Industry.
  • Prepare monthly management reports, annual working budget, training roadmap for the team, and any ICT policies, procedures and best-practices.
  • Ensure Issues raised in ICT Helpdesk Systems are attended and resolved within the stipulated timeline. Review data and make recommendations on remedial action to persistent issues.
  • Keeping ICT Inventory information (hardware and software) current and oversee management in deployment of ICT resources to both new project sites as well as in headquarters. This includes bi-annual bulk-purchase and proposal disposal of obsolete equipment.
  • Oversee management and deployment of Office-365, and other cloud-based applications within the organization.
  • Ensure organisation overall infrastructure system is adequately protected against Cyber-Attack and System Failure. Where Systems lacks hardening aspect, make recommendation for improvement, and see through implementation.
  • Compile ICT statistics and data in the organization to perform management analytics and keep Corporate ICT Systems documentation up to date. Must be able to conceptualize corporate data for meaningful business analytics towards executive planning and updates.
  • Ensure day-to-day functional operations to existing ICT Systems, such as CCTV, Door access, Print Management System and Backup Environment. This may also occasionally require you to attend to System Update/Upgrades outside normal office hours.
  • Review suitability of new ICT Initiatives for the organization. Ensure System Requirements are adequately captured for follow-up in deployment. Managing selection of Vendors for any ICT implementation. Such initiatives are not limited to ICT but include Software Systems solutions such as Turnkey Systems or Corporate OTS Systems.
  • Exercise Project Management skills to successfully implement corporate systems and solutions, from conceptualization to specifications, implementation and change over to new Systems.

Requirements:

  • Degree in Computer Science/Information Technology or equivalent.
  • Proven records in successfully managing and maintaining ICT System at a corporate level.
  • Some experience in Software Engineering Methodology and Application Development will be an advantage.
  • Minimum 8 years of relevant hands-on experience and at least 5 years in managing a team
  • Preference for Microsoft Certification on deployment (such as Windows Server, SQL or O365) but not mandatory.
