A) KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES

This position is part of SPD’s Volunteer Management team.

For a start, the job holder will be responsible for developing and managing the outreach and volunteer management initiatives for the Enabling Services Hub at Tampines. This will be expanded in future to include cluster of programmes in the designated regions.


1. Volunteer Recruitment, Development and Engagement

a) Build a pipeline of suitable and ready volunteers to meet the needs of programmes like ESH through effective recruitment, engagement, training and retention.

b) Identify and create volunteer opportunities to attract and engage volunteers meaningfully and regularly.

c) Ensure the effective and sustainable deployment of volunteers to meet programmes’ objectives.

d) Assist to develop and review volunteer policies, procedures and standards of volunteer service.

e) Support volunteer acknowledgement and appreciation programmes and activities.

2. Community Outreach & Networking

a) Responsible for outreach to referral agencies, community, schools, public service organisations and hospitals for client referrals and enrolment.

b) Develop and organise events to build strong networks with other SSAs, community organisations and funding bodies like, MSF, NCSS, MOH, SG Enable (SGE), etc.

c) Network with external agencies and corporates on volunteerism needs and possible collaborations.

3. Administration & Operations

a) Supervise or oversee a small team to perform required outreach and volunteer management.

b) Responsible for achieving key performance indicators, providing progress reports and assisting in data analysis for planning and reporting purposes.

4. Work on cross-divisional projects as assigned from time to time.

5. Any other duties as assigned by Reporting Officers.


B) JOB HOLDER REQUIREMENT

1. A bachelor degree in any discipline related to social sciences or marketing with at least 5 years of relevant experience.

2. Able to work in the evenings, Saturdays and/or Sundays.

3. Track record of working with volunteers, corporates, community groups and foundations.

4. Analytical, flexible, resilient and ability to see different perspectives and draw connectivity.

5. Able to work independently and be a contributing team player.
