Be part of the WSG management team to develop and implement initiatives and programmes relating to enterprise development. As a Deputy Director, you are expected to assume supervisory responsibilities by overseeing the day-to-day management and development of teams of staff.
Responsibilities
Reporting to the Director of the Division, you will manage a few teams in carrying out the following :
- Develop sectoral capabilities by engaging industry partners, conceptualise new initiatives and interventions relating to enterprise development.
- Conceptualise pilots to test-bed new initiatives and interventions, and constantly iterate and refine the ideas.
- Lead the teams to develop and implement new engagement strategies to acquire new leads and partners to deepen human capital transformation through effective relationship building to acquire new leads and partnerships.
- Drive adoption of cross-sectoral initiatives and sectoral workforce transformation initiatives and other national priority initiatives such as the Industry Transformation Map and Jobs Transformation Map through collaboration with lead agencies, TACs and the union.
- Monitor and review performance of cross-sectoral initiatives against the performance objectives to ensure alignment to corporate KPIs.
- Influence key decision makers to secure partnership with strategic accounts to support the enterprises manpower and business transformation.
- Manage related strategic linkages and cross-agency projects with government ministries/agencies, unions, industry/employer associations and provide strategic inputs for sectoral skills strategies and plans.
- Drive and implement innovation and special projects, which may be required under WOG/MOM HQ’s guidance.
- Conceptualise with relevant stakeholders new programmes/initiatives to address the structure mismatches that deter employers from hiring locals.
- Formulate operations policy and engagement strategies and oversee strategic operations planning and processes.
- Build up data competencies within the division to analyse and visualise data to offer holistic advisory and drive company engagement
- Implement data-driven tracking indicators to monitor the division’s outreach and engagement strategy.
Requirements
- About 10 years of experience in relevant fields, with about 5 years in a management position.
- Candidates without the relevant work experience but possess the required qualities are welcome to apply.

- Manage strategic affairs - Demonstrate strategic thinking, able to define organisational performance measures.

Programme Implementation
- Proven ability in formulating operations policy and guidelines and translating it for the delivering of relevant interventions to facilitate job placements for different worker segments.
- Previous hands-on experience in programme development including conducting market sensing and analysis, conceptualising and validating new construct and implementing and reviewing the outcomes.
- Demonstrated success in driving programme adoption with measurable outcomes.
Partnership Engagement
- Proven track record in delivering new and innovative ways to acquire new leads and partnerships.
- Possess a diverse network covering different industries.
- Familiar with client and account management.
- Ability to drive team to execute engagement strategies to meet organisation goals
- Good track record in partnership and stakeholders engagement.
