RESPONSIBILITIES
- Strategic Implementation
- Plan, develop and implement active and effective strategies to meet the goals and visions of AEI (Asian Enterprise Institute); this includes identifying suitable collaborations with partners, sourcing for reputable speaker/trainers to conduct seminars/workshops for the Institute.
- Interact with SMEs to seek better understanding of the problems/challenges faced by the various industry sectors, with a view of structuring programmes that will enable SMEs to be more effective.
- Develop, implement and execute programmes, overseas immersion, projects, and all other initiatives.
- Stakeholder Engagement and Management
- Maintain strong network with the SME sectors, with a view of bringing them onboard the programmes, structuring workshops, talks that will enable SMEs to be more effective.
- Build and maintain strong network with external partners such as Enterprise SG, other privately managed business associations and clubs so that the Institute's profile and awareness of the programmes remain high.
- Maintain strong network and relationship with key donor in executing initiatives and programmes.
- Adopt a collaborative approach in engaging and influencing key internal stakeholders to support Institute's objectives.
- Team Leadership and Resource Management
- Provide leadership in the areas of team bonding, coaching of individual staff's development as well as the creation of an enriching, fun, open, and motivated workplace.
- Oversee all finance matters to ensure strong stewardship - accountability for prudent use of AEI's donors' monies.
- Matters that relate to UOB-SMU AEI, which from time to time may arise, e.g. liaising with UOB and other external parties on events, etc.
- Basic degree (specialization in business management preferred but not mandatory).
- Proven track record in business development and experience in stakeholders management as well as external facing functions.
- At least 10 years' of working experience.
- Strong leadership and management capabilities with experience in academic programme development and partnership management.
- Outgoing personality and enjoys engagement with people of all levels.
- Excellent communication, negotiation and interpersonal skills.
- Maturity and personality to engage industry professionals, SMEs/entrepreneurs/business leaders and board members.
- Great stakeholders management skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively across departments and with diverse external partners.
