Aliena is a leading Singapore-based space-tech company, that develops and provides spacecraft engines to sharpen the edge of satellite missions. Our proprietary plasma electric propulsion engines (Hall thrusters) allow satellites to fly closer to Earth, making data accessible and affordable for industries like finance, agriculture, maritime, energy, and defence. Our systems will also be an existential need for responsible use of space, and will be a mainstay for satellite constellations working on providing precision navigation services, terrestrial connectivity, and deep space scientific missions.


As we scale our operations, we are looking for a dynamic Commercial Strategy Associate to join our business development team and help shape the future of our growth into the international market


Your responsibilities


● Conduct market research and competitive analysis in the satellite and space technology sectors

● Develop and execute business expansion strategies targeting satellite operators, manufacturers and aerospace & defence primes

● Develop and implement marketing and PR strategies for the company to increase global awareness of the company and to promote partnerships and strategic collaborations

● Identify and generate leads for potential clients and partners globally

● Build and maintain strategic partnerships with key stakeholders across the space industry

● Drive contract and client acquisition efforts to meet the company’s revenue and growth goals

● Collaborate with internal teams to align commercial strategies with product offerings and market needs

● Draft proposals, presentations, and reports to support business development initiatives

● Keep abreast of market trends, emerging technologies, and regulatory changes to adapt business strategies

● Represent the company at conferences, trade shows, and networking events


Qualifications


● Degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Economics, or similar fields

● Previous experience in a business development, market research, or commercial strategy in a tech-driven or space-tech industry is a plus

● Strong analytical skills with a keen interest in the space sector

● Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for client and stakeholder engagement

● Ability to craft compelling business strategies, presentations, and proposals

● Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) and CRM tools

● Familiarity with the space industry, satellite markets, or defence sectors is an advantage
