Job Title: Commercial Director
Location: Singapore
Salary Range: $18,000 – $25,000 per month
Position Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Commercial Director to lead our commercial strategy and operations in Singapore. This individual will play a key role in driving business growth, overseeing legal and commercial activities, and managing key partnerships to ensure that The Company continues to thrive in the competitive capital markets landscape. The ideal candidate will bring a blend of legal expertise, strategic thinking, and leadership to the role.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Leadership:
1.
Lead the development and execution of commercial strategies aligned with The Company's overall business objectives, focusing on revenue growth and market expansion.
2.
Collaborate with senior management and stakeholders to drive business objectives, including securing new business and expanding client relationships.
Legal and Commercial Oversight:
1.
Ensure legal compliance across all commercial activities, including contract negotiations, regulatory matters, and risk management.
2.
Lead the drafting, reviewing, and negotiation of key contracts, ensuring they meet legal standards and support the business’s commercial goals.
3.
Manage intellectual property, licensing agreements, and any legal implications associated with business operations in Singapore.
Business Development:
1.
Identify and pursue new market opportunities, focusing on expanding The Company's footprint in Singapore and the wider region.
2.
Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including clients, investors, and regulatory bodies.
Partnership & Stakeholder Management:
1.
Oversee commercial partnerships, ensuring mutually beneficial relationships with stakeholders such as legal firms, financial institutions, and investors.
2.
Serve as the main point of contact for high-level commercial negotiations, ensuring optimal outcomes for The Company.
Financial & Risk Management:
1.
Oversee budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning related to commercial activities, ensuring cost-effectiveness and maximization of revenue streams.
2.
Identify, assess, and manage risks associated with commercial activities, ensuring full legal and regulatory compliance.
Team Leadership:
1.
Provide leadership and mentorship to the commercial team, fostering a high-performance culture and ensuring alignment with The Company's strategic objectives.
2.
Lead cross-functional collaboration to ensure seamless integration between commercial, legal, finance, and operational teams.
Key Requirements:
Educational Background:
1.
Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Business, Law, Finance, or related fields. Legal qualifications are highly preferred.
Professional Experience:
1.
Minimum of 8-10 years of experience in a senior commercial role, with demonstrated leadership in strategy development and execution.
2.
Proven legal experience, either in a legal firm or in-house legal counsel role, ideally with exposure to capital markets, corporate law, and regulatory frameworks.
Skills & Competencies:
1.
Strong knowledge of commercial law, contract negotiation, and regulatory compliance.
2.
Exceptional leadership, strategic thinking, and decision-making abilities.
3.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
4.
Experience in the financial services industry or capital markets is an added advantage.
