The Rehabilation Manager provides leadership and effective management of the Therapy Team to deliver the required level of rehabilitative services to the residents of the nursing homes.
Primary Role
• Oversee the therapy team consisting of physiotherapist, occupational therapist, physiotherapy aides, occupational therapy aides and senior care aides.
• Responsible for the compliance of all therapist standards as stipulated by Ministry of Health and Allied Health Professions Council.
• Provide staff guidance and supervision, along with the facilitation of staff development and in-house training.
• Plan and coordinate for the procurement of other therapy services.
• Oversee implementation of preventative measures pertaining to risk management
• Manage client incidents and adverse events
• Report client incidents and review incident reports documented
• Identify and implement new programmes for the residents and special projects.
• Analyse trends and plan rehab services and care based on changing trends.
• Submission of monthly reports on projects, KPIs and areas of responsibilities.
• Operationalise and monitor the smooth transition of the residents from acute to chronic care and back to the community, where possible.
• Ensure service quality standard and cost-effective service.
• Develop and maintain close working relations with other agencies and organisations.
Requirements
- Degree in Physiotherapy/Occupational Therapy/Speech Therapy, preferably with post-graduate qualification.
- Demonstrates good communications and people engagement skills, preferably the use of local languages and dialects (in order to liaise with the local languages and dialects speaking associates/residents).
- Good organisation ability
- Ability to form networks and strong linkages with stakeholders.
- At least 6 to 8 years of experience, preferably with managerial experience in rehab services and centers.
- Fully Registered Therapist with the Singapore Allied Health Professional Council
