ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES :
- Playing a defining role in the communication with our Customer Center and Sales team in HQ. Respond to urgent enquiries & handle complains
- Increase sales revenue for business in local docking shipyards and site projects in local branch office.
- Leading the team or acting as “sounding board” and sparring partner for other key account managers in local branch.
- Acting as a mentor for more junior staff on a variety of issues
- Liaising with Logistics Manager and Transport Planner to ensure smooth, complete, and in-time deliveries for customer’s order.
- Point-of-contact for customers, both office and vessel crew and site, for any issue that relates to:
- Requests that have to do with quotes issued by our sales & quotation team
- Itinerary changes for vessels, re-routing consequences and offering solutions
- Last minute requests
- Sourcing alternative products on local market
- Receiving and entertainment when Customer visit local office.
WORKING REQUIREMENTS :
- Relevant commercial education (MBO or HBO level).
- Broad knowledge of the Shipping Industry and chain partners.
- Customer-oriented, problem-solving skills.
- Excellent commercial qualities;
- Maintaining personal contact with shipping lines and/or ship management.
- 5 years of experience in a similar position is essential.
- Knowledge of MS Office and ERP.
- Excellent communication skills both verbally and in writing, fluent in English.
- Stress resistant due to tight busy schedules associated with this position.
- Ability/willingness to work in a rapidly changing, growing environment.
