About the Team

Ecommerce's Governance and Experience is a global team responsible for ensuring our marketplace is safe and trustworthy for not only our users but also sellers and creators. We value user satisfaction and work on policies, rules, and systems to ensure quality. Our mission is to provide world-class service and experience for customers, sellers and creators.


Responsibilities:

- Lead the development and implementation of the overall strategy for TikTok Shop's Brand Protection program (with a focus on Intellectual Property Rights).

- Lead, coach, and develop a team of Brand Relation Managers.

- Drive Global Alignment on Brand Protection programs and initiatives across business units. - Build and maintain an effective network in support of TikTok shopping's Brand protection program both internally (e.g. key business representatives, Intellectual Property Legal, public relations, communications, marketing teams), and externally (e.g. governments, trade associations, law enforcement authorities) through brand diplomacy, conferences, networking opportunities, workshops, etc.

- Lead and develop the framework to support teams in responding to, investigating, managing and resolving high-impact brand-related incidents and escalations around product authenticity and safety issues.

- Establish and maintain strong relationships with government officials, agencies, and key stakeholders. Cultivate a network of contacts to support the organization's advocacy efforts.

- Collaborate closely with industry associations, advocacy groups, and coalitions to advance common goals and objectives.

- Plan and roll out events and activities to promote awareness of TikTok shopping's Intellectual Property Rights protection program for internal and external stakeholders. While closely monitoring media and global events to anticipate and mitigate potential brand-related risks.


Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

- Bachelor’s or Masters degree in engineering, operations research, statistics, mathematics, or equivalent fields.

- Experience working in relevant industries, such as brand protection/relations, investigations, especially intellectual properties/fraud related areas, risk management/ escalation handling.

- Demonstrated capacity for critical thinking and analysis with strong attention to detail.

- Ability to manage ambiguity and thrive in a fast-paced working environment.

- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships and effectively liaise with people at all levels.

- Excellent collaboration skills with internal and external cross-functional teams.


Preferred Qualifications

- Project management skills, with experience in collaborating with different business and technical stakeholders. Able to develop and execute project plans, independently monitor, and ensure timely delivery of project deliverables.

- Experience in E-commerce Intellectual Property/Brand Protection will be a plus.
