Job Title: Assistant Underwriter
Our Client: Public listed insurance company. In Singapore for more than 50 years. Excellent financial security rating.
Key Responsibilities:
- Underwriting Support: Play a key role in supporting all treaty business lines by:
- Analyzing and interpreting statistical data
- Reviewing and understanding slip wordings to ensure accuracy
- Managing data processing with attention to detail
- Research & Insights: Extract critical observations from reports and perform targeted research to support strategic decision-making by superiors
- Familiarity with business intelligence tools is good to have
- Report Compilation: Assist in creating high-quality underwriting reports, such as reinsured and insurer statistics by underwriting year, ensuring clarity and precision
- Ad-hoc projects: Contribute to special projects as needed, allowing you to broaden your experience and skillset
Requirements:
- Minimum Diploma/ Degree in Actuarial Science, Finance, Mathematics, or Engineering
- Minimum of 2 years of relevant industry experience
- Proficient in MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint
- Excellent communication skills
