Job Description:
- Responsible for acting as driver of operations performance enhancement for the assigned unit, by monitoring and managing the plant's main KPIs, supporting Technical Support departments to ensure proper studies and analysis to attack root causes on deviations detected, supporting the Operations Manager in the interface with the client and authorities, in order to continuously enhance operation efficiency, thus contributing to the safe operation and the production and revenue target achievement, contributing to the business continuity and its growth.
- Contribute to the unit's operational performance, by managing and constantly analyzing operation's KPIs, following up corporate and setting specific relevant indicators to be followed up in the unit, monitoring their performance, discussing root causes for eventual deviations, tracing future expectations and evaluating improvement opportunities along with Technical Support departments, in accordance with MODEC's Roles and Responsibilities matrix, aiming to guarantee maximum availability and safety for the assigned unit.
- Actively engage in the Operations Cell routine, including Morning Calls, Integrated Planning, routine follow-up meetings, ensuring the proper assistance to other Ops Cell members in their attributions whenever required and possible, promoting a culture of mutual support, growth, avoiding any poor workload balance.
- Act as onshore support for the assigned unit's offshore team in the resolution of operation's routine demands, assisting them in the interface with other departments, as well as guiding them to the proper systems, processes and means, thus promoting a culture adherent to the company's procedures and systems.
- Contribute to the unit's annual budget planning (expenses and investments), by participating of the corporate planning, providing information about resources, replacements, services and materials needs and other expenses used in its activities, liaising with Offshore and Onshore departments.
- Support the Operations Manager in the interface with the client for matters related to this position's scope, by actively participating in meetings with the client's representatives, answering RDO items, supporting in the elaboration of letters and formal responses, and assisting in negotiation for contract's demands, when required, as directed by the Operations Manager.
- Contribute to continuous improvement of IMS by following up and filling in projects status, and updating and monitoring the implementation of IMS Documents for the assigned unit's related to this position's scope, as set by the Operations Manager.
- Achieve the goals established for the business, by participating in the implementation of strategic and corporate projects and identifying improvement opportunities.
- Understand and follow Company Objectives, Policies, Procedures and integration with Clients, Community and Suppliers, by reading relevant documents and interacting with superiors for clarification of possible doubts.
- Contribute to safeguarding MODEC from noncompliance to technical specifications and/or standards (adherence to the internal Guides and CMMS application of routines), by performing and maintaining records of internal audits in order to meet all international regulations, MODEC policies, philosophies and standards applicable for the assigned unit.
- Guarantee the proper use of Technical Support departments, by ensuring that technical queries are properly identified, recorded in the system and properly directed to Onshore Technical Support departments for review/study, as well as following up the Technical Authorities responses to the support required, promoting a culture adherent to the company's systems. Furthermore, act as a first level of Technical Support for Offshore crew of that assigned unit.
- Might support the Operations Manager on team management issues - conflicts' resolution, trainings, -, as well as cover Operations Manager in their absence, as per Area Manager or Operations Manager discretion.
- Continuously seek operational and safety performance enhancement for the assigned unit, by engaging in technical discussions with other Tiers, participating in NOI/NOD investigations, RCAs, following up or acting upon designated CAPAs, providing a holistic view of the unit.
- Contribute to enhance MODEC's procedures, by constantly evaluating the unit's activities and seeking improvement opportunities, sharing lessons learned with Technical Support departments and Operations leadership, supporting Offshore team in the unit's procedures' review, following MODEC's Philosophy, manufacturer recommendation, and personnel experience.
- Support the Operations Manager in promoting a safety-oriented culture in the unit, by attending HAZID/HAZOP studies, engaging in the implementation of long-term process safety initiatives, monitoring the implementation of Safety Recommendations, and participating in trainings, presentations, workshops, etc.
- Contribute to a functional Operations Cell by supporting the Operations Engineer in their main attributions, as required or requested by Operations Manager, including but not limited to coordinating Onshore and Offhsore departments for proper execution of operation's routine demands, engaging in internal and external audits and in the development of respective action plans, analyzing offshore daily reports, in order to achieve optimized workload balance and provide technical and operational development for all members of the Operations Cell.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering is required.
- Postgraduation in areas related to the discipline of expertise is a competitive edge.
- MBA or equivalent is a competitive edge.
Relevant Experience:
- Engineer JR/Full/SR/Specialist: Minimum 4 years' overall experience is expected
- Previous experience in Offshore Oil & Gas area is required.
