Operation (Project)
- Set goals and drive the team to achieve its objective by leading the team effectively and efficiently.
- Operation Planning and controlling. Plan and manage operation resources and ensure that all operational activities in Project, Software and Maintenance are getting done based on company’s objective, operational goals and customer requirements.
- Crisis Management. Able to re-assign resources from relevant work scope and deploy effectively when issue arises.
- Cost Control Measures for. Establish a clear objective on cost control measures when it comes to operations (eg. Labor Cost, Equipment, Subcontractor) in terms of purchases relating to projects, maintenance, research and development works.
- Operation problem solving. Propose reliable solution based on leverage of knowledge between products and service. Able to quickly identify, problem with root cause analysis and recommend a solution where it added value of shorter lead time and more robustness.
- New Product Development. Engage with technical team to understand the product and assist in early involvement in the product developing in aspect of technical capability.
- Manpower Planning. Handle staffing requirement and manage staff performance.
- Review operation’s procedure and develop set of policies and guidelines that integrate and align with the company’s long term goals.
- Continually monitor and improve the overall performance of the operation.
- Be a positive role model and leader to his fellow subordinates.
- Periodically follows up with the management team to ensure goals are being met and get guidance in the removal of any obstacles that are preventing their completion.
- Develop excellent internal and external relationships with stakeholders to achieve new ideas and procedures to keep pace with Industry Standards and methods.
- Ensure training is provided and work with the training group to assist in development of training materials as required.
- Keep employees’ technical knowledge up to date and propose training plans for each team member. Ensure that all of the issues are well matched to the capability of the individuals within the team
Project Management
- Lead the team for implementing and upholding good project management principles and practices for project system design, equipment installation, configuration, testing and commissioning
- Implement & ensure proper project management disciplines, structure and processes to drive scope estimation, prioritization and delivery of the project
- Manage client expectations and ensure proper scope management
- In-charge of managing and handling the implementation of successful system integration projects
- Communicating product development and technical activities to sales team and customers
- Liaise and coordinate with the technical team, subcontractors and customers with regards to the implementation of the project
- Responsible for overall project budgets, monitors and controls cost ensuring the effective and efficient expenditure of allocated funds
Business Support
- Provide technical assistance to the Sales Team and the General Manager in preparation of quotation and government tenders.
- Coordinate closely with internal sales and technical experts to align solution design with customer’s business requirements
- Create business opportunities and sales inquiries for company’s growth.
- Managing customer expectations. Build strong relationship with customer to understand their needs and requirement to be able to propose solutions.
- Provide relevant market intelligence to Management to identify potential business opportunities.
Training and Development
- Training. Ensure work related training is provided and coordinate with HR to assist in development of training materials as when it is required.
- Competency Management. Keep employees’ technical knowledge up to date and propose training plans for each team member. Ensure that all of the issues are well matched to the capability of the individuals within the team.
- Develop clear successors within the group. Coach and mentor to develop skills needed as successor.
Requirements
- Minimum 7 years of relevant experience.
- Certified PMP, Agile and/or Scrum Master practitioner with at least 3 years of practical implementations preferred.
- Handled IT Systems, Queue management systems, Visitor management systems or Payment systems is an advantage.
- Familiar in Networking and Various Operating Systems (e.g. DOS, Windows, Linux).
- Knowledge in Software solutions (e.g. JAP, Servlet, DHTML, AJAX, Java Scrpt, XML, Tomcat, JRUN) is an advantage.
- Strong budgeting, leadership, and managerial abilities, to lead and manage the stakeholders.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills are essential for collaborating with various levels of management.
- Technology focused, self-motivated and proactive in problem solving.
- Team player and can work with minimum supervision.
