Senior Quantity Surveyor

Job Description:

Requirements:

  • Bachelor degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field
  • Professional certifications such as RICS or SISV accreditation if any
  • Significant experience working as a Quantity Surveyor, including several years in a senior or managerial role within the construction industry
  • Proven track record of successfully managing large-scale construction projects, overseeing cost management processess and/or leading QS teams
  • Advanced and strong knowledge and proficiency in cost estimation, cost control, and contract administration processes
  • Proficiency in using quantity surveying software and tools such as CostX, Bluebeam, or other similar applications
  • Knowledge of construction contracts in Singapore (SIA, REDAS, PSSCOC, etc.) including FIDIC
  • Strong leadership skills to effectively lead and mentor junior staff providing guidance, training, and support as needed
  • Experience in stakeholder management, including client interactions, subcontractor negotiations and collaboration with project teams
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously ensuring quality, timeliness and compliance to budgetary constraints
  • Highly organized and detail oriented
  • Execellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to convey complex tecchnical information clearly and effectively
  • Strong negotiation skills to handle contract variations, claims management, and resolve disputes while maintaining positive relationships with stakeholders
  • Advanced analytical skills and strategic thinking to identify cost-saving opportunities, value engineering options, and risk mitigation strategies
  • Ability to analyze project data, financial reports and performance metrics to make informed decisions and recommendations
  • Adherence to ethical standards and professional integrity in all aspects of quantity surveying practice and company's policy
  • Compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and codes of conduct in the construction industry and company's policy
