Embedded Software Intern

Main Duties & Responsibilities (including but not limited to):


On a daily basis, all activities for product management are cross-functionally organized with all departments of the company. We also work together with our international colleagues in India.

VFlowTech is involved in the design and development of Advanced Energy Storage Systems and Microgrids based on Reflow Batteries.
• Development of BMS (Battery Management Systems) and EMS (Energy Management Systems). This involves the understanding of sensors, current and voltage control paths.
• It will involve Linux programming in C++ and Python. ARM-based controllers is used.
• It will involve PLC Programming in Ladder diagram and HMI designing. Siemens Controllers are used.
• The work also involves communication protocols like Modbus, CAN bus & RS485.

You will be involved in and learn the following topics:
• ARM/PLC-based embedded programming.
• Battery Management Systems and Energy Management Systems
• System state diagrams and requirement specifications
• Communication protocols
• EMS Microgrid Development
• HMI design for battery system.

VFT storage solution has an expected life span of 25 years and is proven to be one of the safest and most environmentally friendly battery technologies. VFT founders have deep experience in the renewable space, and Vanadium redox flow technology. VFT is a spin-off of the CleanTech lab of Nanyang Technological University (NTU), Singapore, and benefits from unique IP arising from many years of intensive research at NTU.
