Role Responsibilities/Learning Outcome:
VFlowTech Pte Ltd is developing flow batteries for renewable energy application. We are at the product development and commercialization stage. To support our projects, we are looking for interns to support on battery system design and fabrication. The intern(s) will be working on following activities:
· The intern will participate in designing of multiple mechanical components in battery like plastic tanks, container modification, design of piping, etc.
· Perform flow simulations, structural analysis, load calculation, etc. to ensure the design meets the requirement.
· Support the team during the fabrication of the product at the workshop.
· Support on various everyday activities like, sourcing and procurement of different mechanical and electrical components, writing reports, perform experiments in laboratory, etc.
Learning Outcomes:
· The intern will learn be exposed to use various CAD software to design 3D components.
· He/she will learn the fabrication process of the complete battery system.
· He/she will gain knowledge in dealing with various local and overseas vendor and purchase engineering components used in the battery.
· He/She will be able to prepare product manual and write reports.
Role Requirements:
· Currently studying Bachelor of Engineering in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering or relevant discipline.
· Familiar with CAD software (e.g. SolidWorks).
· Proficient in both spoken and written English.
· Knowledge in simulation software such as Ansys would be an plus.
· Possess some knowledge of product design in the engineering sector.
· Self initiative and a proactive learner who is determined and steadfast.
· Report writing skills.
