Career Summary:
We are seeking a dynamic and knowledgeable Technical Sales Engineer to join our team. The candidate will have a strong background in electrical engineering and proven experience in selling battery solutions to clients. The Technical Sales Engineer will develop and implement effective solution-selling strategies at all levels within assigned industries and locations. He/She will be responsible for driving sales, building and maintaining customer relationships, and providing technical support and expertise related to battery specifications and applications.
Role Responsibilities/Learning Outcome:
1) Sales and Business Development:
- Identify and develop new business opportunities and sales channels for battery products.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with existing clients, ensuring their ongoing satisfaction and loyalty.
- Conduct market research to understand industry trends, customer needs, and competitive landscape.
2) Technical Expertise:
- Demonstrate in-depth knowledge of battery specifications, including Vanadium and other battery technologies.
- Provide technical support and guidance to customers on product selection, application, and troubleshooting.
- Conduct product presentations and demonstrations to potential and existing clients.
3) Customer Relationship Management:
- Act as the primary point of contact for clients, addressing their queries and concerns promptly and professionally.
- Develop and deliver proposals, quotations, and contracts that meet customer requirements and company standards.
- Follow up on sales leads and opportunities to convert them into sales.
4) Collaboration and Teamwork:
- Work closely with the engineering and product development teams to ensure alignment between customer needs and product offerings.
- Participate in industry events, trade shows, and conferences to promote the company and its products.
5) Reporting and Documentation:
- Maintain accurate records of sales activities, customer interactions, and sales forecasts.
- Prepare regular reports on sales performance, market trends, and customer feedback.
- Ensure all sales processes and documentation are compliant with company policies and industry regulations.
Job Requirements:
- Bachelor/master’s degree in electrical engineering or related technical discipline.
- Minimum 2 years of experience as a Mechanical Engineer with design & manufacturing knowledge
- Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets, particularly in selling battery solutions or related electrical products.
- Strong understanding of battery technologies, specifications, and applications
- Proficiency in using CRM software and other sales tools.
- A strong propensity for teamwork, excellent communication skills, presentation, and negotiation skills.
- Preferably fluent with Mandarin speaking to communicate with our various stakeholders.
- Good skills in communication and comfortable in working with the cross functional team.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience in the renewable energy sector or related industries.
- Knowledge of energy storage systems and their applications in various markets.
- Familiarity with industry standards and regulations related to battery products.
