This role is pivotal in aligning the English
Language Program with CCAMT educational philosophy and strategic
objectives, focusing on preparing students for higher education and career
readiness, and catering to the unique developmental needs of diverse learners.
We are specifically looking for candidates who are passionate about teaching in
the Master of Arts in Education program and have expertise in these key areas:
1. Introduction to Criticality: Develop critical thinking skills essential for
educational professionals, focusing on self-assessment, mental flexibility,
creativity, interpretation, and argumentation.
2. Research Methods in Education: Master educational research principles
and practices, including research design, data collection and analysis, and
engagement with academic literature to prepare for independent research.
3. MA Thesis: Conduct substantial, independent research in your chosen
educational field, demonstrating in-depth understanding and answering a
specific research question.
4. Mentoring and Coaching: Develop and apply coaching, guidance, and
mentoring skills to enhance teaching and learning, fostering effective
learning relationships and professional growth.
5. Leadership, Leader Identity and Educational Organisations: Analyze
leadership models, organizational micropolitics, and personal development
to cultivate strategic leadership skills and evaluate their impact on
educational contexts.
6. Curriculum in the Contemporary World: Explore global curriculum
development, design theories, and inclusive practices to inform
pedagogical choices and enhance student progress and attainment.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Deliver engaging instruction in critical areas such as critical thinking,
research methods, mentoring and coaching, leadership, curriculum
development, and diversity in education.
2. Implement innovative instructional materials and assessments aligned
with program objectives.
3. Guide students in conducting independent research and writing theses.
4. Foster an inclusive learning environment that promotes diversity, equity,
and inclusion.
5. Collaborate with faculty to enhance curriculum and program quality.
6. Engage in continuous professional development and contribute to
program improvement efforts.
Qualifications:
1. Master degree in Education, Pedagogy, or a related field.
2. Proven teaching experience at the graduate level in Education or related
discipline.
3. Background in educational research methods and critical thinking.
4. Demonstrated ability to utlize engaging course materials and promote
student engagement.
5. Experience in mentoring and supporting early career teachers.
6. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
