Main purpose of the role and key responsibilities:
• Apply Nokia CSD related specific configuration in the network elements’ subsystems at customers’ sites
• Provides support to Nokia Customers as CSD Customer Support Engineer .
• Proactively identifies and solves demanding problems and communicates them to key stakeholders
• Participates as an expert in own technology area in customer projects
• May support areas by participating in emergency and 24/7 duty
• Perform SW maintenance activities such as installation & test of technical/change notes /change deliveries.
• Carry out independently complex technical activities such a SW upgrades/updates Service, Expert Support and technical audits on site.
• On-site support at customer premises participating network operation service
• Ensure high availability of Core network services through effective Project delivery. This would involve activities such as troubleshooting, root cause analysis, correction development, testing and implementation.
• General Purpose:-
• Provides consulting service in customer project; ability to understand customer's business and technical needs and ability to understand the issue in System. Provide operations support on day-to-day basis for ongoing Alarms and Issues.
Main Responsibility Area:-
• Monitor CSD (SCP) 24*7 system and analyse the Alarms and issue visible in system
• Analyse the issue and identify the root cause of alarm/Issues.
• Raise CARE ticket to L3 Team within SLA and provide all required logs and traces.
• Implement the solution provided on ticket and provide feedback.
• Support and Manage Operations & Maintenance Upgrades & configuration changes to the CSD SCP Solution.
• Review requirements, MOP Preparation
Skills:
• Good Knowledge of LTE and 5G Networks and Call flows
• Solution Implementation of Core Network Elements for Signalling (SCP)
• Experience in Cloud on CNF.
• Good experience in Unix/Linux commands
• Deployment/Upgrade expertise in 5G Products.
• Good working knowledge in SCP, 4G/5G core technologies. HTTP2, RestAPI, SCTP, TCP, Linux, Kubernetes
• Basic scripting language expertise (Shell script, PERL, Python, Ansible) would be added advantage.
Position Requirements: -
- Ability to discuss with customer for requirements gathering
- Solution Deployment Upgrades.
- Ability to troubleshoot call flow related issues and fixing the same.
- Strong understanding of Mobile Network (2G, 3G & 4G).
- Advanced level on Operating System such as Linux or Solaris.
- Experience on networking troubleshooting using tools such as Wireshark.
- Experience on virtualization - VMWare or Open stack
- Ability to play a role of Individual contributor as well as team player based on the project requirements.
- Good Communication Skills.
Position Requirements:
- Good Knowledge of 5G/GSM/UMTS/LTE/IMS Networks and Call flows
- Solid experience in Nokia CSD,DRA,HSS Linux, Deployment On Cloud and Bare metal solutions accumulated over a proven track record of 3+ years
- Hands on Experience on Nokia UDM, One NDS ,EIR and HLR/HSS will be an added advantage
- Previous Integration & Operation experience and related wireless and test equipment knowledge
- Network performance assessment, audits and network performance enhancements (optimization) on regular basis
- Ability to optimize network with all components based on traffic trends and customer forecast. Ability to compile Optimized system parameters to tune the network.
- Strong and demonstrated troubleshooting skills and abilities to debug and reproduce hardware, software, and networking problems including network performance and interoperability issues
- Ability to learn fast new technologies, to work independently in a virtual and multi-cultural team environment but also be a great team-player
- Master's or Bachelor's degree from technical university e.g. Electrical Engineering/ Telecommunication Engineering/Computer Science/Computer Engineering or equivalent
