OpenShift Container Platform Architect (OCP)

Overview:

The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of OpenShift, Kubernetes, and microservices architecture, coupled with a proven history of successfully modernizing applications within the financial services sector.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, implement, and manage OpenShift platforms on Baremetal, Virtualized, or Public Cloud environments, ensuring alignment with business objectives and industry best practices.
  • Lead the transformation of legacy applications into modern microservices architectures, leveraging OpenShift to improve scalability, reliability, and efficiency.
  • Collaborate with DevOps teams to build and optimize CI/CD pipelines, automation frameworks, and infrastructure-as-code (IaC) using tools such as GitOps.
  • Oversee the deployment, scaling, and management of containerized applications, ensuring their seamless operation.
  • Mentor and guide team members, sharing technical expertise and promoting best practices in platform management and development.

Essential Qualifications:

  • Must be a Singaporean Citizen or Permanent Resident
  • 7-8 years of hands-on experience with OpenShift architecture, Kubernetes, and containerization technologies.
  • Strong expertise in microservices architecture with a demonstrated ability to modernize legacy systems.
  • Proven experience working within the financial services sector, with a solid understanding of industry regulations and compliance standards.
  • Deep knowledge of OpenShift components and features, including ACM, ACS, Quay, and ODF.
  • Proficiency in DevOps tools and practices, including Git, Jenkins, Ansible, and Terraform.
  • Experience implementing GitOps workflows and managing infrastructure with GitOps tools.
  • Exceptional problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team environment.

Nice to have:

  • Certification in OpenShift or Kubernetes.
  • Familiarity with Istio or other service mesh technologies.
