Job Description:
- Assist in implementing, updating, and maintaining certified quality management systems (ISO 22000, HACCP, Halal and MSC certification) in coordination with third-party certification bodies.
- Conduct quality control checks for incoming raw materials, in-process products, and finished goods to ensure compliance with internal and external standards.
- Support production operations by troubleshooting quality issues and ensuring products meet required specifications before, during, and after production.
- Coordinate QC sample shipments and testing with external laboratories, ensuring timely and accurate testing processes.
- Serve as the QC document controller, ensuring proper coordination and alignment with QA document control systems.
- Liaise with government agencies and certification bodies regarding product registrations and certifications.
- Monitor and implement corrective actions based on inspection findings, working with suppliers and internal teams to resolve issues effectively.
- Conduct periodic food safety and hygiene inspections, providing training where needed to ensure compliance with regulatory and internal standards.
- Assist with procurement operations for consumables, including maintaining approved supplier lists, tracking pricing, and managing delivery timelines.
Requirement:
- WSQ Certification in Food Hygiene and Halal Certification is a must.
- Minimum of 10 years of QA/QC experience, preferably in the frozen food manufacturing sector.
- In-depth knowledge of food safety regulations and quality control standards (HACCP, GMP, ISO standards).
- Familiarity with sensory evaluation techniques and microbiological testing.
- Physically fit to work and experience in cold room environments.
- Strong sense of responsibility, punctuality, and a positive working attitude. Able to thrive in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision.
- Effective communication in both English and Mandarin to collaborate effectively with Mandarin/English-speaking cross-functional teams and external stakeholders.
- Flexibility to perform overtime (OT) when required, especially during last-minute requests to meet operational needs.
