Responsibilities:
- Carry out supervision and coordination of mechanical and electrical works of the project and exercise all reasonable skill, care and diligence in the discharge of the duties.
- To supervise execution of the construction works and ensure that the works are carried out by the contractors in accordance with contract specifications and drawings.
- To monitor contractor’s site progress and performance as well as maintain proper site records on progress of work and documentation.
- To conduct progress inspections to ensure work carried out complies with quality standards, requirements and specifications.
- To highlight any critical/major issues, discrepancies, feedback site progress and irregularities to Clients/Consultants.
- To liaise with contractors in the coordination of site works and resolving site installation issues.
- To ensure the contractors maintain work site safety, cleanliness and tidiness of the site.
- Undertake any other duties related to the project assigned.
Requirements:
- Diploma / ITC (Higher NITEC/NTC-2 NITEC) in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering from a recognized institution.
- National Certificate in Construction Supervision from BCA or equivalent preferred.
- Preferably registered as Resident Technical Officer accredited by IES/ACES.
- Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in building services in the supervision of commercial/ institutional development with strong knowledge of mechanical and electrical services and local construction practices.
- Proficient in MS Word and Excel for project update and reports.
- Familiar with local codes & regulations.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
