What the role is
The Waste Infrastructure Management Department (WIMD) under the Waste Infrastructure Operations & Management Division (WIOMD) oversees the availability of national waste disposal and incineration capacity, manages private waste facilities, waste disposal accounts and revenue collection by the Waste-to-Energy (WTE) plants and Tuas Marine Transfer Station.
What you will be working on
You will work in the Waste Accounts Management Branch (WAMB) under WIMD which monitors the operation of the PPP WTE plants’ weighbridges, verifies the quantity of waste received and manages issues relating to weighbridges. WAMB also manages the security deposit of waste disposal account holders, as well as the billing and collection of refuse disposal fees. You will be responsible for the following:
Financial Processing and Reporting
· Prepare deposit returns, create invoices, and process payments for various entities
· Monitor revenue collection and reconcile discrepancies across systems
Account and Guarantee Management
· Oversee refuse disposal accounts and manage Bankers' Guarantee renewals
· Update account information and maintain proper documentation
Utility and Rental Administration
· Handle electricity revenue remittance and charges
· Manage land rental invoices and GIRO activations
Audit and Compliance Support
· Provide financial data and reports for audits and year-end closing
· Assist with regular Bankers' Guarantee audits
Interdepartmental Coordination
· Liaise with finance, audit, and support teams to ensure accurate data and timely processes
· Communicate with account holders and external entities as needed
