Sous Chef (Pastry)

Grand Mercure Roxy Hotel

  • Handle all operational duties in the pastry department, including daily production of cakes and pastries
  • Ensure standards for food quality and preparation are strictly adhered to
  • Manage all food and production cost
  • Develop menus and any other tasks that is related to pastry
  • Maintain a high standard of personal hygiene and observe all guidelines pertaining to the handling and preparation of orders
  • Ensure the kitchen equipment and facilities are conformed to sanitary regulations and baking equipment and refrigerator are properly kept and cleaned

Job Requirements

  • At least 5 years relevant experience
  • Ability to work well under pressure in a fast paced environment
  • Required to work on weekends and public holidays
  • Able to multitask and work independently
