MINDS has been caring for Persons with Intellectual Disabilities (PWIDs) and their families since 1962.

RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Patient Care Management- To support Clinic Doctors to
- Assess and take comprehensive history of patients under her charge.
- Perform physical examination of patients under his/her charge.
- Develop and implement plan of care.
- Perform follow-up review of patients under his/her charge; coordinate and evaluate care using appropriate care plans.
2. Patient education
- Provide specialised patient education / caregiver training.Implement and coordinate individualised and group learning programmes with patients/caregivers.
- Evaluate effectiveness of patient education; perform health education and discharge teaching to patients/families/caregivers.
- Communicate treatment plan with patients/ families.
3. Infection control
- Keep up to date to COVID 19 measures and practise standard precautions when in contact with patients.
- Assist in monitoring and upholding of infection control practices e.g. standard precautions and hand hygiene.
- Educate patients and relatives on infection control awareness and practice.
4. Staff training & development
- Provide clinical guidance and direction to Junior Enrolled Nurses, Nursing Aides and Care Associates in the delivery of patient care.
- Continuous professional development.
- Maintain a high level of professional self-development through training, supervision, learning and research, linked to continuing registration requirements.
5. Programme Management & Development
- To assist in the Clinic's Specialist Screening programmes.
- To plan and conduct training workshops with Specialist Doctors, Allied Health Professionals such as Psychologists, Social Workers, Physiotherapists, Occupational Therapists to raise awareness of disability work.
- To support the Head of Clinic in clients' case review meetings.
6. Administrative & Operations
- To coordinate staff meetings as and when required.
- To provide timely and accurate monthly dashboard reports as required to the Head of Clinic and relevant MINDS Department.
- To participate in developing, customizing, implementing, and reviewing clinical standards and PDPA and referrals SOPs.
7. Volunteer Management & Public Education
- To supervise and evaluate the volunteers' involvement initiatives, if any.
- To facilitate public relations activities to promote the branding and image of the Clinic.
- To support the Head of Clinic in coordinating regular caregivers' interaction sessions.
- Registered Staff Nurse (SNB License) with minimum of 2 years of clinical experience.
- At least a Diploma in Nursing.
- Technically skilled and competent.
- Good interpersonal and communication skills.
- Computer literacy skills MS Word and PowerPoint.
- Experience working in the social services or health sector preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively and efficiently with minimal supervision.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively and efficiently and a team player.
