We are seeking an Inventory/Warehouse Assistant to collaborate with the team supervisor and manager in managing the company’s inventory system, ensuring data accuracy and system integrity.
Job Description
- Receiving and Inspecting Goods: Assist in receiving incoming shipments of temperature-sensitive products, verifying quantities, and inspecting for damages or discrepancies while maintaining cold chain requirements.
- Inventory Management: Help maintain accurate inventory records for cold chain products, perform regular stock counts, and assist in organizing storage areas to ensure optimal temperature conditions.
- Order Fulfillment: Prepare and pack orders for shipment, ensuring products are kept at the appropriate temperatures and that all packaging complies with cold chain standards.
- Loading and Unloading: Safely load and unload temperature-sensitive goods from delivery vehicles, ensuring proper handling to maintain product integrity.
- Equipment Operation: Operate material handling equipment (e.g., forklifts, pallet jacks) safely, particularly in refrigerated or freezer environments (MHE license may be required).
- Documentation: Maintain accurate records of inventory, temperature logs, and other documentation as directed by warehouse supervisors to ensure compliance with cold chain regulations.
- Cleanliness and Safety: Ensure the warehouse is kept clean, organized, and compliant with health and safety regulations, focusing on cold storage areas.
- Support Team Operations: Collaborate with team members to complete daily tasks and assist in various warehouse activities as needed.
Requirement:
- Ability to work in a physically demanding cold store environment.
- Proficiency in using computer systems, databases, and Microsoft Office applications (Excel & Word).
- Strong sense of urgency and ability to prioritize workloads effectively.
- Meticulous, detail-oriented, and well-organized.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Effective communication in both English and Mandarin to interact with Mandarin/English-speaking clients and stakeholders.
- Experience in cold chain management, food safety regulations (HACCP), and inventory control.
- Valid forklift license and experience operating a reach truck and pallet jack.
