EQUITY RESEARCH ANALYST
We are seeking a suitable and qualified candidate to fill our position of Equity Research Analyst to join our Fiduciary Business Planning Department. This position will report directly to the Head of APACResearch and Head Office.
The incumbent will act as a Liaison role to provide information and research to Head Office. This person will be responsible to provide ASEAN Equitiesand REITs investment advisory to the global equity team in Head Office and support to manage all investment advisory services to Head Office.
As an Equity Research Analyst, this person will be responsible for performing research & analysis of Equities and REITs listed in ASEAN to identify investment opportunities, preparing research reports to Head Office and assisting the head of APAC research. The person will act as an equity analyst for Asia and global market to provide analysis on investment, recommend and propose investment opportunities and summarize findings and information to Head Office. The person will also analyze the investment market trend and perform data gathering and collaborate with global equity team in Japan and Asian research team members in building recommendation list.
The incumbent will be responsible to ensure the department’s operation is in compliance with all procedure manuals of Singapore Branch including the compliance manual. The person will also ensure the filing to Kanto Local Finance Bureau in Japan in good order and timely manner, if necessary.
Applicants should possess a degree in Economics, Accountancy or Laws with more than 5 years' experience as an investment management career. Candidates must possess the relevant knowledge and skills to analyze and value industries and individual companies based on fundamental research. The nature of the job will require the person to be familiar with the Japanese business process and have a good understanding of the working culture of Japanese organization. Native-level Japanese language ability, both spoken and written, will be essential for this role as there will be regular communication and liaison with Head Office. Candidates must also have a sufficient level of English language, strong analytical, communication, interpersonal skills. The applicant must be highly motivated and self-driven. Overseas travel should be also required.
Remuneration will commensurate with qualifications and experience.
