Position Overview:
The Data PMO will be responsible for overseeing the management and delivery of data projects within the Finance Data Warehouse initiative. This role involves collaborating with various stakeholders, managing project documentation, and ensuring that deliverables are met on time and within scope. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in project management, particularly in the insurance industry, and possess strong analytical and organizational skills.
Key Responsibilities:
- Project Management:Manage all aspects of project delivery, including planning, execution, and monitoring of key milestones.
Coordinate change requests, ensuring that all changes are documented and approved.
Maintain a detailed project schedule and manage timelines to ensure timely delivery of all project components. - Stakeholder Collaboration:Work closely with cross-functional teams, including finance, actuarial, and IT, to ensure alignment on project goals.
Act as a primary point of contact for stakeholders, providing updates and addressing any concerns or questions. - Documentation and Reporting:Prepare and maintain comprehensive project documentation, including a contracts outlining deliverables.
Track deliverables, ensuring that all are on schedule and meet quality standards.
Provide regular status reports to senior management, highlighting progress, risks, and issues. - Vendor Management:Collaborate with external vendors to ensure they meet project requirements and timelines.
Monitor vendor performance and escalate any issues as necessary. - Contract and Delivery Tracking:Administer contract tracking and ensure compliance with all contractual obligations.
Utilize project management tools to monitor progress and manage resources effectively.
Qualifications:
- Experience:Minimum of 5 years of experience in a PMO or project management role, preferably within the insurance industry.
Demonstrated experience in managing complex data projects and understanding data delivery processes. - Skills:Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify risks and implement mitigation strategies.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of working effectively with diverse teams and stakeholders.
Proficiency in project management software and tools. - Education:Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, Information Technology, or a related field. PMP or equivalent certification is a plus.
