Job Description: Sales & Business Development Manager
Responsibilities:
- Build and maintain strong partnerships with propulsion system integrators, ship builders and naval architect to facilitate the adoption and integration of energy storage systems in maritime applications.
- Work closely with standard product provider on collaborators in energy storage solutions for hybrid and fully electric ships, ensuring alignment on Durapower’s battery pack product offerings and sales strategies given DNV, BV, Lloyds’ certification.
- Effectively promote and sell battery packs, adhering to distribution agreements and ensuring smooth order facilitation.
- Create and implement sales strategies that integrate the strengths of partners’ solutions and Durapower’s battery packs to meet market demands and revenue targets.
- Oversee relationships with key accounts and distributors, ensuring successful adoption of battery systems and addressing client needs promptly.
- Evaluate market trends and sales performance, providing feedback to all stakeholders to refine strategies and optimize sales outcomes.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in a related field with significant B2B sales experience, ideally within the maritime industry.
- Three to six years of business development experience in the maritime sector
- Essential to have a track record of success and a strong network within the local marine industry with propulsion system and marine engine experience
- Experience working with system integrators, managing partnerships with technology providers, and coordinating with distributors.
- Good understanding of market-demand, energy storage systems, battery cells, and distribution practices will be an added advantage.
- Track record of successful client relationship management and achieving sales targets.
- Ability to analyse market trends and sales data to drive strategic decisions.
