Role Summary:
Rhea Fertility, a technology-enabled fertility services buy-and-build platform, is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Investment Analyst to join our dynamic team. Reporting to the Director of Strategic Initiatives, the successful candidate will play a crucial role in
supporting the company’s investment activities through market research, deal sourcing, deal execution, portfolio management, and financial planning and analysis.
Main Responsibilities
Market Research
- Conduct comprehensive market research to identify trends, opportunities, and competitive landscape within the fertility industry
- Understand and monitor the regulatory landscape and its impact on the fertility industry
- Analyze market data and industry publications to support investment decisions
Deal Sourcing
- Identify and evaluate potential investment opportunities aligned with the company’s strategic objectives
- Build and maintain a network of industry contacts to source new investment opportunities
- Conduct preliminary assessments and due diligence on potential deals
Deal Execution
- Coordinate with legal, financial, and commercial due diligence teams to ensure smooth execution of transactions
- Assist in the structuring and negotiation of investments
- Prepare investment memos, financial models, and other documentation required for investment assessment
Portfolio Management
- Monitor and manage the performance of existing investments within the portfolio
- Conduct regular reviews and performance analysis of portfolio companies
- Provide strategic recommendations to optimize portfolio performance and mitigate risks
Financial Planning and Analysis
- Support the financial planning and budgeting process for the investment and finance team
- Develop and maintain group financial models
Requirements
- 2-4 years’ experience in investment banking, private equity, venture capital, accounting, consulting, corporate development or related fields.
- Bachelor’s degree from a top-tier institution
- Master’s degree in finance and/or CFA designation would be an advantage
- Excellent financial modelling and analysis skills
- Previous experience or understanding of the Healthcare industry is a strong advantage
- Fluency in Mandarin is a strong advantage to facilitate interactions with existing and potential partners and target companies
- Willing to travel internationally
