A Research Officer position is immediately available at the Stem Cells and Diabetes Laboratory. Dr Adrian Teo's laboratory is interested in leveraging on stem cell technology to study mechanisms underlying diabetes and metabolic diseases. Reference: www.adrianteolab.com.
Qualifications / Requirements:
- Degree in Biological Science and Life Science disciplines or equivalent
- Deep commitment and interest in research, demonstrated from previous research experience
- Minimum 6 months prior research experience in the Biomedical field
- Experience with mammalian cell culture and molecular biology techniques
- Experience with animal work and surgical techniques
- Experience with mammalian stem cell work will be valued
- Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills
- Highly motivated, passion for science, committed to laboratory work and able to work flexible hours
- Ability to multitask, work independently and also as part of a team
- Excellent communication (verbal and written) and presentation skills
- Experience in Flow Cytometry, Immunoprecipitation techniques, RNA-seq, Mass Spectrometry and bioinformatics will be valued
