Job Responsibilities:
- Lead and oversee the Payment and Withholding Tax teams to ensure smooth daily operations, including month-end and year-end closing activities
- Ensure timely and accurate payments to vendors and suppliers
- Verify payment requests submitted by the Payment team
- Plan payment run for institutions and ensure payments are processed according to the agreed payment schedule
- Review bank reconciliations performed by the team, ensure reconciling items are followed up promptly, including clearing of transactions with DDA arrangements
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to resolve accounts payable and payment-related queries
- Review withholding tax assessment and filing to ensure tax returns are in accordance to Singapore’s Withholding Tax guidelines
- Ensure that the Withholding Tax team processes tax payments made to IRAS timely
- Assist with the preparation of reports and analysis related to Accounts Payable and Withholding Tax
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders on projects relating to new system implementation, system enhancements and process improvement
- Supervise, train and manage staff including setting of KPIs and conducting regular communication sessions, etc.
- Review work processes to promote efficiency and strengthen internal control procedures
- Support audits by providing the necessary documentation and information
- Other ad-hoc duties as assigned
Job Requirements:
- Degree, ACCA or Diploma in Accountancy or equivalent, with at least 10 years of relevant experience
- Minimum 5 years of supervisory experience
- Knowledge in SAP S4 Hana
