Our client, an European MNC in the shipping line, is looking for a Purchasing Executive for their container vessels on a 7-month contract. The incubment will be responsible for the administration of purchase operations for the vessels and will be placed under our payroll.
Responsibilities
- Ensure the timely ordering of the day to day requisitions;
- Obtain Superintendent’s approval for quotation and offers received to place order
- Ensure delivery on board through logistic chain from the supplier to the vessel;
- Report any specific vessel requirement;
- Follow KPI's as defined by Procurement Director
- Comply with IMS (Integrated Management System) and all relevant international rules and regulations;
- Ensure all your duties in accordance with quality, health, safety, environmental and ethics policies;
- Apply the best practice defined by the group procurement.
Requirements
- Diploma or Degree
- 2+ years procurement/supply chain experience preferred;
- Experience in shipping and/or marine/offshore;
- Knowledge in technical shipping management is a plus;
- Knowledge of MS Excel and MS Outlook
