We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Fleet Information Technology (IT) Specialist to join our dynamic team at PIL. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in training junior officers in IT-related subjects and maintaining IT infrastructure onboard vessels.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct IT training for Junior Officers (2O, 3O, 4O, 3E, 4E, ETO, JrETO).
- Deliver basic courses in IT at sea, including server management, bandwidth, various onboard applications, and VSAT.
- Provide training in fundamental software, browser operations, device management, URLs, and IP addresses.
- Facilitate remote access training and understand hardware maintenance and troubleshooting.
- Conduct cybersecurity incident response training.
- Perform yearly vessel IT audits and follow-ups on improvement areas.
MUST HAVE:
- Minimum 5 years of experience in the shipping domain.
- Strong command of both written and spoken English.
- Expertise in vessel IT, OT, and helpdesk troubleshooting.
- Ability to communicate complex IT concepts to non-technical personnel.
