We are seeking a Finance Executive/Assistant Manager who will support our expanding financial operations and play a critical role in ensuring seamless financial management across multiple geographies.
Position Overview:
The Finance Executive/Assistant Manager will handle the day-to-day financial operations of Aprisium, including budgeting, forecasting, financial analysis, and reporting. Given our growing footprint across multiple countries, the candidate will be responsible for multi-country financial operations, ensuring compliance with financial regulations in different jurisdictions. The ideal candidate will also hold corporate secretarial qualifications, taking ownership of corporate governance duties in addition to finance-related responsibilities.
Key Responsibilities:
Financial Management:
- End-to-End Financial Operations:
Manage daily financial activities including accounts payable, receivables, general ledger maintenance, reconciliations, and cash flow management. - Budgeting and Forecasting:
Prepare annual budgets, financial forecasts, and variance analysis, providing insights into business performance for management decision-making. - Multi-Country Financial Operations:
Oversee the financial needs of Aprisium’s multi-country operations across ASEAN and Scandinavia, ensuring compliance with international financial standards and local tax regulations. Coordinate with external auditors and local finance teams in each country. - Financial Reporting & Analysis:
Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements. Provide financial insights to senior management, contributing to strategic decision-making. - Audit and Compliance:
Ensure timely submission of statutory filings and tax returns in compliance with Singapore and international regulations. Liaise with external auditors for annual audits, and ensure compliance with tax regulations in various regions. - Cash Flow Management:
Manage cash flow requirements to ensure sufficient liquidity for operations. Oversee treasury functions and bank relationships to optimize financing structures.
Corporate Secretary Duties:
- Corporate Governance:
Manage corporate governance duties, ensuring Aprisium’s compliance with Singaporean corporate secretarial requirements. Maintain statutory records and prepare necessary documents for board meetings and annual general meetings (AGMs). - Regulatory Filings:
Handle all regulatory filings with ACRA and other relevant regulatory bodies, ensuring compliance with legal obligations such as annual returns, changes in directorship, and maintaining proper records. - Stakeholder Management:
Coordinate with shareholders, board members, and key stakeholders to ensure timely and accurate dissemination of financial information and regulatory updates.
Financial Planning & Strategy:
- Fundraising & Investment:
Assist in preparing financial models and business plans to support market expansion or partnerships, ensuring they align with the company’s financial goals. - Cost Management & Optimization:
Identify cost-saving opportunities and implement strategies to optimize financial efficiency across different departments. - Risk Management:
Conduct financial risk assessments and implement mitigation strategies to protect the company from exposure, including currency exchange risks in multi-country operations.
Key Requirements:
- Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field. ACCA, CPA, or equivalent professional qualification is preferred. Corporate secretarial qualifications (e.g., SAICSA) are highly desirable. - Experience:
- Minimum 3-5 years of experience in financial management, preferably in a startup or multi-country environment.
- Strong knowledge of Singaporean tax regulations, ACRA compliance, and experience managing cross-border financial operations.
- Experience in a DeepTech, technology, or manufacturing sector would be advantageous.
- Skills:
- Proficient in financial software and ERP systems (e.g., Xero, QuickBooks, Odoo, SAP etc).
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong understanding of corporate governance and compliance frameworks.
- Ability to handle multi-country financial reporting and consolidation.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
