Job Description
The successful candidate will work with Prof CHEN Wei on Interface Engineering for low-dimensional materials based Li-Metal Solid State Batteries under a project on NRF Investigatorship project: "Interface Engineered Ferroelectric 2D Materials for Artificial Synapses and Neuromorphic Computing".
The main responsibilities of the position include one postdoc position available at the Surface and Interface Lab of Prof. CHEN WEI’s group at National University of Singapore. The project focuses on the interface engineering for Li metal solid-state batteries, including the SEI, CEI and electrolyte surface analysis. The selected candidates will work together with a team comprising experts in interfacial analysis about Li metal batteries and reaction mechanism study using home-made interface characterization tools.
Qualifications / Discipline:
- The candidates shall recently obtain PhD or submit PhD thesis in Chemistry or Materials in a research intensive and renowned University or Research Institute. The candidate shall publish at a few papers on top journals.
Skills:
- Excellent English writing and communication skill,
- Team management skill (help PI to lead a small research team with 1-2 master students),
- Expert in solid-state electrolyte materials synthesis, structural characterizations using TEM/SEM/AFM/XRD/UV-Vis/GC-MS, surface science techniques of XPS/UPS, NAP-XPS, and electrochemical applications (Li metal batteries) of these materials.
Experience:
- The candidate shall have extensive experience in solid-state electrolyte materials synthesis, interfacial analysis and electrochemical applications (Li metal batteries) of these materials.
