• Technical Support:
o Assist with Java application development and troubleshooting.
o Write and optimize SQL queries for reporting and data analysis.
o Support users with technical issues and work on improving system performance.
• Functional Support:
o Understand business needs and translate them into technical requirements.
o Work with users and developers to improve processes and functionality.
o Test and ensure new features meet business needs.
• Problem Solving:
o Identify and fix technical issues related to Java applications and SQL databases.
o Help analyze operational problems and suggest improvements.
• Teamwork:
o Work closely with both technical teams and business users to ensure smooth communication.
o Contribute to system improvements and process automation.
Skills and Requirements:
• Knowledge of Java and Cobol Mainframe programming
• Experience with SQL databases and query writing.
• Good problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Strong communication skills to work with both technical and non-technical teams.
• A team player who is eager to learn and grow.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field.
• 3-4 years of experience working with Java, Cobol and SQL.
• Experience in technical support or a similar role is a plus.
• 2+ years of experience in operational support, including incident management, monitoring, and resolution.
