Job Role and Responsibilities
- You are responsible in meeting overall educational and social needs of children under your care.
- You are to assess children with learning and developmental issues identified by pre-school teachers using the prescribed screening tools.
- You are expected to provide differentiated intervention approach to the children in the areas of educational needs, behavioral learning, social and social communication skills
- You are expected to develop Child Specific Education Plan where needed and progress reports to your superior
- You will conduct intervention through support packages to Developmental Support-Learning Support (DS-LS) children
- You are to work co-operatively with families and pre-schools to support children’s learning and development
- You are to provide in-class support to children whom received intervention packages, ensuring goals set achieved during sessions with the DS-LS children and are generalized into classroom
Job Requirements
- Specialist Diploma in Early Childhood Learning Support (SDELS) / Special Needs or its equivalent
- Minimum 2 years working experiences in the early childhood sector as Learning Support Educator
- Possess good communication skills and the ability to engage children
- Nurturing and dedicated to the development and well-being of children
- Self-driven team player with positive attitude
- Able to work independently with minimum supervision
