Job Description & Requirements
➢ Be experienced and knowledgeable of commercial diving work tasks and requirements.
➢ Be trained and recognized/certified as a commercial diver at an accredited training organization for inland/inshore commercial diving.
➢ Have in date Occupational First Aid at Work and Diving First Aid certification.
➢ Be medically fit to dive – holds an in-date diving medical issued by a registered Diving and Hyperbaric medical practitioner.
➢ Fully understand and to work according to the procedures and working practices of SGS as laid down in the company manuals and other documentation such as the SS511.
➢ Have good communication, critical thinking abilities and problem-solving skills.
➢ Be at least 18 years old.
Job Description and Responsibilities
• Required on site and to carry out such work in compliance with local an regulations/standards and where required, international codes of practice and best practice always, as instructed by the diving supervisor.
• Observe local and safety policies/procedures (whichever is more stringent) whilst at work and during all diving projects.
• Stop Work in the event of unsafe working conditions.
• Report to the Diving Supervisor / Diving Operations Coordinator any non-compliance of point above during any operation.
• Be punctual for work, and this requires to be onsite a minimum of 30 minute prior to the work boat departing the pickup jetty location.
• Must be fit to dive prior to dive works, and when not fit to dive, inform the diving supervisor.
• Maintain dive medical and other documentation necessary to ensure compliance with commercial diving regulations and SGS policies.
• Must be able to commit to a flexible work schedule.
• Safely and effectively contribute within a team and operate across multiple shifts.
• Assist with maintaining all diving equipment as instructed by the diving supervisor or diving equipment technician.
• Be familiar with the Emergency Response Procedure.
• Possess thorough knowledge of treatment and emergency procedures for all types of diving related accidents.
• Ensure own dive logbook is completed accurately and in a timely manner.
• Provide Lessons Learnt (if any) at the completion of each project.
• Demonstrate consistent capabilities in line with core values.
• Demonstrate an ability to work well with others in line to job requirements.
• Multi‐task oriented and ability to perform under pressure.
• Ability to interpret policies and procedures to ensure compliance.
• Present a positive and professional image of Subsea Global Solutions in the presence of customers, coworkers,and the community.
