SALES MANAGER (PROJECT CARGO)
As a sales manager in our shipping business, your focus is mainly on EPC projects, you are responsible for developing and implementing projects, overseeing entire project management plan, collecting information of market and clients, identifying and securing possible projects, coordinate with parties to make business decisions.
Responsibilities:
· Development and lead the execution of projects.
· Communicate with inter-department stakeholders to facilitate coordinated project execution.
· Supervise and ensure a smooth schedule, propose and implement corrective measures when necessary.
· Market research to source for potential clients and projects.
Functions and accountabilities:
1) Development and execution of projects:
· Lead and manage the overall project planning, scheduling, budgeting & execution process.
· Lead the contract negotiations including terms and conditions and price
· Implement and provide directions in project planning, coordinate works ensures overall progresses based on schedules.
· Oversee detailed design and construction of projects.
· Take full ownership for end-to-end activities (Factory-Port, Port-Port, Port to Client)
· Effectively communicate project expectations to various parties
· Coordinate with the other departments in the company as and when required.
· Liaise with client's representatives with regards to all site matters, attend site meeting if required.
· Manage project documentation, prepare necessary reports on regular basis.
· Delegate tasks and responsibilities to appropriate personnel.
· Monitor and control project risks, issues, and changes and take corrective action when necessary.
· Develop best practices and tools for project execution and management.
· Any other duties as assigned by the Management
2) Commercial:
· Maintain and expand positive relationships with clients, suppliers, and subcontractors.
· Provide advice and guidance to stakeholders.
· Source for possible projects and potential clients in the market
· To be the representation of the company to provide excellent services to clients.
3) Office functions
· Communicate with other departments to ensure smooth operation when necessary.
· Document correctly all negotiations
· Assist with preparation of weekly and monthly management reporting.
4) Safety
· Take responsibility for the safety of myself and those around me by displaying safety leadership principles.
· Challenging and stopping unsafe acts and behaviors or unsafe conditions.
· Comply with the Global Safety Standards, Polices and Operating Procedures.
Requirements:
· Diploma/ Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required
· At least 2 years working experience in similar industry
· To possess strong communication, negotiation and interpersonal skills
· Good relation with the ship-owner of Break bulk & heavy lift cargo and other Specialized carriers is preferred.
· Demonstrated business math and intermediate computer skills with MS Office skillsets
· To have Class 3 driving license and own vehicle is preferred
