We are looking for an experienced and passionate Sales Manager for our Transit business segment to expand our phenomenal growth in the transit payment and fare collection business in the global market.


Responsibilities

Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:


Account Management & Development:

  • Be the lead point of contact for matters specific to the assigned sales accounts.
  • Build and maintain strong, long-lasting relationships with the sales account personnel.
  • Negotiate contracts and follow up towards closing of agreements.
  • Prioritize and plan the company's work activities within the customer project scope and timeline.
  • Enusre timely and successful delivery of our solutions according to customer needs and objectives.
  • Constantly explore new business opportunities or offer new business ideas to customers to expand mutual growth.
  • Forecast and track customer account metrics (eg. quartely sales results and annual forecasts).
  • Ensure timely billings to customers.

Business Development:

  • Actively engage potential clients to update offerings, understand needs, and acquire market intelligence.
  • Win new clients by closely following up on actions to clients' requests, including quotations, proposlas, bids, orders, contracts, and specifications.
  • Prepare and submit for selected public tenders.
  • Coordinate with relevant teams within the company - project management, R&D , and operations - to ensure timely and satisfactory responses to customers.
  • Participate in trade shows and industry conferences to collect market intelligence and network with relevant industry players.

Qualifications

  • Diploma/Bachelor’s Degree holder
  • At least 3 years of experience in B2B sales or business development
  • Account management experience in the following market segments is preferred:
  1. Transport authorities
  2. Public transport operators
  3. Transit system integrators
  4. Government agencies
  • Working experience in companies providing below products and services:
  1. Transit system integration or supply
  2. Automatic fare collection system or related product and solution
  3. Bus on-board electrical system or equipment supply
  4. Access control gate system
  5. Payment terminal supplier
  6. Self-service kiosks and machines
  7. Industrial controller module
  • Regional experience is big bonus, especially overseas customer network
  • Experience in reviewing and negotiating commercial contracts
  • Background or knowledge in software and electronics/electrical engineering will be an added advantage
  • Ability to communicate, present, and influence, while having attentive listening skills
  • Highly self-motivated, take initiative to learn and to find out answers
