About us:

Lakeside Family Services started by Faith Methodist Church, is a charity which has served the community since 1993, regardless of race, language, or religion. We develop resilience in disadvantaged children, mould troubled youths into contributing individuals, empower active seniors to help lonely seniors, assist ex-offenders in reintegrating into society, and help women with unsupported pregnancies.

We are an Institution of a Public Character (IPC) and a member of the National Council of Social Service (NCSS).

To fulfil our Christian responsibility to the society by caring for the community.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Design, plan, implement and manage weekly programmes (Drop-in centre for Children, Drop-in centre for Youth, Mentoring Programmes for Youth, School Holiday Workshops for Parents and Children, Community Outreach)
  • Review effectiveness of the programmes
  • Develop training materials for volunteers
  • Manage and train volunteers
  • Identify upcoming trends in the community and follow best practices to enhance programmes impact
  • Review and evaluate programmes for impact study.
  • Maintain client records to ensure that it is accurate and timely for data analysis
  • Assess cases and carry out intervention plans in a timely manner
  • Supervise a team of 3-4 staff in carrying out the above tasks

Job Requirements:

  • Degree or Diploma in Social Work, Counselling or Psychology preferred.
  • Experience in leading programmes/teams
  • Ability to work independently and as a team player.
  • Ability to work with clients in time-based programmes to achieve the desired outcomes.
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills in working with youth-at-risk and their families.
  • Willing to work on Saturday mornings.
