We are looking for a motivated and enthusiasticSystem Developer to support in-house system development, testing, and rollout processes aimed at enhancing business operations and meeting customer requirements. The ideal candidate will work within the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and contribute to the development of reliable, high-quality code while maintaining system efficiency and responsiveness, particularly in manufacturing-related systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- System Development: Responsible for developing, testing, and rolling out in-house systems to support business operations, adhering to customer requirements.
- Coding Standards & SDLC: Follow the SDLC process and established coding standards and frameworks using Java, Python, and SQL scripting to write efficient, reliable code.
- Performance Improvement: Continuously work on improving system performance, quality, and responsiveness, with a focus on systems related to shopfloor control, warehouse management, and supply chain.
- Collaboration: Collaborate with the solutioning and Solution Architect (SA) teams to develop new system functionalities based on functional specifications, perform unit testing, troubleshoot issues, and fix bugs.
- Project Feasibility & Estimation: Evaluate the feasibility of project requirements, provide reasonable estimates, and update the IT project team on delivery timelines (ETA).
- Skill Improvement: Follow guidance to improve coding skills and contribute to building a strong development team to support internal operations.
- System Maintenance: Maintain the IT manifest repository, manage source code check-ins, and provide system support where needed.
- Analysis & Solutions: Perform basic system analysis, and suggest workable solutions as required.
- Backup Support: Provide backup support for various system functions and pull data related to production needs.
Qualifications:
- Education: Diploma or Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or equivalent.
- Experience: Minimum of 1 year of experience in IT development, particularly with Java, Python, and PL/SQL.
- Skills: Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills, with a passion for software development and a willingness to learn.
- Bonus: Knowledge of Manufacturing Information Systems is an advantage.
