Job Responsibilities:
General
- Manage and support hardware and software components related to network infrastructure, including operating systems, routers, switches, firewalls, wireless systems, SDN, and other office IT matters.
- Be available for standby work as needed (24/7) and handle ad-hoc maintenance tasks.
Administrative Support
- Knowledge of routing protocols.
- Understanding of LAN switching concepts, including Bridge ID, STP, LACP, VLANs, and VLAN routing.
- Familiarity with wireless access and authentication.
- Experience with firewall rules and policies.
- Proficient in configuration backup and documentation.
- Skilled in monitoring and analysis.
Technical Support
- Respond to calls and provide support within service level agreements (SLAs).
- Troubleshoot incidents and problems, clarifying and isolating faults.
- Provide workarounds and/or resolutions.
- Maintain communication and reporting.
- Perform vulnerability/security updates and firmware patches.
- Conduct firmware upgrades.
Requirements:
- 3-5 years of network infrastructure experience
- Proficient in troubleshooting and hands-on experience with WAN and LAN technologies (SD-WAN, MPLS, VoIP, WAN optimization).
- Knowledgeable in routers and routing protocols.
- Experienced with Layer 2 and Layer 3 LAN switches.
- Familiar with general and next-gen firewalls.
- Skilled in on-premises and cloud-based wireless controllers and access points.
- Experience with Cisco Unified Communication and IP telephony technology (a plus).
- Understanding of cloud networking in Azure and AWS.
- Knowledgeable in network security solutions, including firewalls, CPE-based IPSec VPN, token-based authentication, IDS, data encryption, and PIN verification.
- Self-motivated with strong sense of responsibility and urgency
- Diligent in documentation, reporting and tasks tracking ability
- Posses analytical skills to be able to solve issues and ability to work independently and cope with pressure
- Time management, Good communication, interpersonal and problem-solving skills, with customer friendly attitude and ability to work in a team environment
