Job Overview:
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Mechanical Project Engineer to join our team for exciting data centre projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mechanical engineering and hands-on experience working on data centres. This role will focus on ensuring the successful planning, coordination, and execution of mechanical systems within data centre environments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Project Coordination: Assist in planning and managing the mechanical systems for data centre projects, ensuring compliance with design specifications and project timelines.
- System Design and Implementation: Oversee the installation of HVAC, cooling systems, and other critical mechanical infrastructure.
- Vendor and Contractor Management: Coordinate with contractors and suppliers to ensure proper installation and integration of mechanical systems.
- Mechanical Systems Testing: Conduct tests and inspections on HVAC and cooling systems to ensure optimal performance.
- Troubleshooting and Problem Resolution: Identify issues in mechanical systems during construction or post-installation and provide solutions in a timely manner.
- Documentation: Prepare and maintain accurate project documentation, including technical reports, drawings, and schedules.
- Collaboration: Work closely with the project manager, electrical engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure mechanical systems align with the overall project goals.
- Health and Safety Compliance: Ensure all mechanical engineering activities comply with local regulations, codes, and safety standards.
Job Requirements:
- Experience:At least 3 years of experience in mechanical engineering, with a minimum of 1 year working on data centre projects.
- Strong understanding of HVAC, cooling systems, and mechanical infrastructure in data centres.
- Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to troubleshoot mechanical issues efficiently and recommend solutions.
- Communication: Excellent communication skills for interacting with contractors, vendors, and project teams.
