The SAP ABAP Developer is tasked with collecting SAP requirements and specifications, as well as analyzing, designing, documenting, coding, testing, configuring, deploying, implementing, and maintaining systems and applications.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Engage and collaborate with users, business analysts, and quality assurance/control analysts to gather user requirements and specifications.
- Examine technical and business requirements, translating them into both basic and detailed technical designs.
- Participate in conducting feasibility studies, research and development, prototyping, and proof of concept (PoC) for the implementation of new or existing systems, solutions, and processes.
- Contribute to the creation of technical documentation, including but not limited to functional, system, and technical designs, as well as requirements and specifications.
- Develop, customize, enhance, troubleshoot, and maintain codes, applications, and systems.
- Design test scenarios and data, and conduct or participate in both non-functional and functional testing (e.g., unit testing, system testing, integration testing, etc.).
- Document, analyze, and report on test outcomes.
- Review and develop codes, programs, and configurations to ensure consistency and compliance with established programming and industry standards, guidelines, policies, and practices.
- Perform incident and problem analysis, gather data, investigate and resolve issues, and provide technical consultancy, assistance, and support.
- Ensure the timely delivery of required systems, applications, and solutions in accordance with agreed budgets and specifications.
- Identify, evaluate, and recommend opportunities for application and process enhancements.
- Prepare reports, manuals, and other documentation regarding the status, operation, and maintenance of software.
- Provide regular and effective updates on progress to the project manager, team lead, supervisor, or immediate manager.
- Actively engage in and lead peer review and status meetings to communicate progress and escalate any risks or obstacles.
- Develop training materials.
Skills:
- Basic knowledge of SAP modules FI/CO, SD, PP, MM, PE
