Job Description:
We seek a highly skilled and experienced lead cybersecurity scientist to guide our cybersecurity product strategy and research initiatives and ensure the security of our company’s products and infrastructure. This senior leadership role requires a deep understanding of the cybersecurity industry, hands-on experience in technical research, and the ability to drive innovation in security products.
Key Responsibilities:
Cybersecurity Product Strategy:
- Collaborate with Product Teams to craft the company’s cybersecurity product strategy and roadmap.
- Continuously assess and adapt the product strategy to address new and evolving cybersecurity challenges.
Cybersecurity Research:
- Lead Cybersecurity Engineers in conducting technical research to understand and forecast emerging cyber threats.
- Develop and evaluate approaches to effectively address these threats.
- Monitor global cybersecurity trends and integrate relevant findings into the product strategy and roadmap
- Conduct internal product validations to ensure that our cybersecurity products are world-class.
Company Security:
- Oversee the security of the company’s products and infrastructure, ensuring compliance with industry standards and best practices.
- Manage and maintain company security certifications such as ISO27001 and CSA STAR Level 2
Job Requirements:
- Minimum 6 years of technical experience in cybersecurity, with a strong emphasis on research in industry.
- Proven experience in using and managing a wide range of cybersecurity products, cybersecurity researchers, cybersecurity analysts or software engineers.
- Technical experience in one or more of these areas: zero-day vulnerability research, incident response, forensics, reverse engineering exploits, manual penetration testing etc
- Demonstrated ability to adapt to changing cybersecurity landscapes and incorporate new information into strategic planning.
