Summary:
The Senior Network Engineer is responsible for network integration activities within projects and bid responses. As a key member of the Hardware Deployment & Integration team, the Senior Network Engineer provides technical oversight, ensures accurate documentation, and collaborates with multiple departments to deliver network solutions. This role involves revising architecture, creating specifications, managing network configurations, and supporting both project execution and bid proposals.
Responsibilities:
For Projects:
- Revise solution architecture drawings, cost templates, Bill of Materials (BOM), and system interfaces at the start of the project.
- Create and update network integration documentation, including Solution Specification and Design, and Network Acceptance Test Procedures.
- Define equipment configuration for the ATM solution(s) and coordinate assembly with the Hardware Deployment and Integration team, alongside collaboration with Tools Engineering, Customer Service, and Site Services.
- Load, configure, validate, and hand over equipment to Software Integration teams, both at the factory and on customer sites.
- Support configuration changes to system platforms in the factory and at customer sites.
- Attend design reviews with customers, providing technical insights and expertise.
- Deliver customer training sessions as needed.
- Identify risks at the solution architecture level and propose alternate validated solutions where appropriate.
- Provide system and network expertise to enhance design processes and network solutions.
- Contribute to the development and improvement of engineering processes.
For Bids / Tenders:
- Create and peer-review system architecture diagrams.
- Prepare the Bill of Materials (BOM) and List of Supply (LOS) for network solutions.
- Develop the Hardware Integration section in engineering bid proposals.
- Define system interfaces required for proposed solutions.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Network Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
- At least 5 years of experience in network integration and deployment within a project-based environment.
- Proven experience with creating and managing Bill of Materials (BOM) and network architecture diagrams.
- Strong knowledge of networking protocols and technologies (TCP/IP, VPN, MPLS, etc.).
- Experience with ATM systems and related network integration activities is highly desirable.
- Experience with hardware integration and configuration in both factory and customer environments.
- Familiarity with design review processes and risk assessment in network solutions.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
