Job Description:
- Manage team of Junior Quantity Surveyors.
- Monitor project costs to ensure the objectives of the project are achieved in accordance to building contract law.
- Communicate with the management, contractors and sub-contractors on the adjustments to cost estimates to facilitate smooth transition of information.
- Conduct the negotiations during the course of the project in order to ensure issues are resolved.
- Experience in pre & post contract administration.
- Prepare tender cost submission / measurement / quantity take off / cost evaluation in accordance to the building and construction regulations.
- Be responsible for sourcing subcontractors and suppliers.
- Evaluate price comparison and costing summary.
- Responsible for claims, variation orders, budget & cost control.
- Handle issues including the extension of time, terms and conditions, loss and expenses claim.
- Maintenance of project documentation.
Job Requirements:
- Possess a Degree in Quantity Surveying or Building or equivalent.
- Minimum 3-year relevant working experience in a building construction firm.
- Self-motivated and able to work independently in a fast-paced environment and under pressure to meet tight deadlines.
- Have good knowledge of market updates and construction cost trends.
- Experience with managing HDB Projects will be an added bonus.
