As the Managing Director of NAVTOR Singapore, you will hold the pivotal role of steering our regional operations towards achieving ambitious targets. Your primary responsibilities encompass overseeing staff, managing revenue streams, and spearheading the growth of our customer base. This dual-faceted role requires adept leadership in managing our Singapore team while directly handling key customer accounts in the maritime and shipping industry, particularly in hydrographics and e-navigation systems.

Key Responsibilities:

Leadership and Staff Management:

  • Oversee the NAVTOR Singapore team, focusing on hiring, training, motivating, and coaching employees to foster a high-performance culture.
  • Evaluate employee performance regularly and provide constructive feedback to drive continuous improvement.
  • Oversee administrative duties related to the Singapore office, ensuring smooth and efficient operations.

Sales and Revenue Management:

  • Achieve regional sales and operational objectives by contributing to strategic planning and reviews.
  • Develop and implement action plans to enhance production, productivity, quality, and customer service standards.
  • Forecast regional sales requirements, prepare annual budgets, analyze variances, and initiate corrective actions to meet financial objectives.
  • Create and execute a comprehensive sales plan to establish and meet sales objectives.

Customer Relationship Management:

  • Maintain and expand the customer base by building and nurturing strong relationships with key customers. Identify and capitalize on new customer opportunities.
  • Recommend new product lines by identifying potential product opportunities, evaluating consumer needs and trends, and tracking competitor activities.

Market Engagement:

  • Actively participate in shipping exhibitions and conferences across the region to enhance NAVTOR’s market presence and visibility.
  • Continuously update job knowledge by engaging in educational opportunities, reading professional publications, and maintaining a robust personal network.

Account Management:

  • Directly manage customer accounts, ensuring exceptional service and satisfaction.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Sales Expertise: Demonstrated ability to meet sales goals, with strong motivation for sales and experience in territory management.
  • Leadership: Proven skills in performance management, building relationships, and emphasizing excellence in all areas of responsibility.
  • Communication: Exceptional presentation skills and the ability to negotiate effectively to drive results.
  • Strategic Planning: Adept at sales planning and managing profitability to ensure the company’s long-term success in the region.

Territory:

  • Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia, Thailand, Vietnam, India, and the Philippines.
