Job Summary
Responsible for providing case management for released ex-offenders assigned by Yellow Ribbon
Singapore and elderly offenders assigned by Singapore Prison Service, and conducting groupwork for younger and/or elderly offenders, to achieve successful reintegration.
Job Responsibilities
- Establish rapport and build professional relationship with client and significant others (e.g. family, caregivers, etc.)
- Conduct end-to-end casework management with various profile of clients.
- Conduct therapeutic group work for prison inmates who are younger offenders and/or elderly offenders, including design groupwork activities and preparing evaluation report
- Identify service gaps in response to client needs and make recommendations to improve service provision of programmes
- Support the development of programmes through data collection and data analysis (e.g. conduct focus group discussions, individual interviews, etc.)
- Review and refine programmes to target client groups or other stakeholders/partners/ agencies
- Assist in the implementation of new programmes/ services, and promotion of programmes to target client groups or other stakeholders/ partners/ agencies (e.g. understanding of the various services and programmes available)
Requirements
- A bachelor degree in Counselling / Social Work/ Psychology, with at least one year experience with case management service, with counselling and/or experience working with offenders and the elderly folk.
- You are a people-oriented and approachable, and able to conversant in at least one other local language or dialect other than English (i.e. Malay, Tamil, Mandarin, Hokkien).
- You have an interest / passion to work with multiple profile groups.
- Self-motivated, resourceful and takes initiative to drive improvements and developments.
- You are an active-listener, enjoys problem-solving and are passionate about getting to the root of key issues to provide solutions to them.
- You have possess strong communication skills.
- You are able to work independently and at the same time a team player who is able to work cohesively with colleagues from different levels.
